Product Specifications
Product Description
At BM Steel, we are proud to offer a wide range of high-quality steel products to fulfil the needs of our customers. One such product is the 27mm Bright Round Bar, which is specifically designed to meet the requirements of various engineering applications.
The 27mm Bright Round Bar is made from 080A15 EN3B engineering steel grade, which is known for its exceptional strength and durability. This steel grade is commonly used in applications that require high tensile strength, such as automotive components, machinery parts, and construction equipment. With its impressive mechanical properties, this round bar offers superior resistance to wear, impact, and corrosion, making it a reliable choice for demanding environments.
One of the key advantages of the 27mm Bright Round Bar is its precise dimensions and smooth surface finish. The bar is precisely machined to have a diameter of 27mm, ensuring a true and consistent size that meets industry standards. Additionally, the bright finish adds an aesthetic appeal to the bar while also enhancing its corrosion resistance. This finish is achieved through a process known as bright drawing, which involves passing the bar through a series of polishing rolls to create a mirror-like surface.
We understand that each customer may have unique requirements in terms of length, which is why we offer the option to specify the desired length for the 27mm Bright Round Bar. Whether you need a standard length or a custom length, our skilled team is here to cater to your needs and deliver a product that meets your exact specifications.
By choosing the 27mm Bright Round Bar from BM Steel, you can be confident in the quality and performance of your purchase. All our steel products undergo strict quality control checks to ensure they meet the highest industry standards. We are committed to providing our customers with reliable and durable products that can withstand even the toughest conditions.
Engineering Steel Grades
070M20 EN3A
The steel can be used for welded or riveted structures, forgings, machined parts, hot pressings, etc. Its minimum strength is relatively low, but its machinability is good.
070M20 EN8
A general-purpose mild steel. Good for machining and suited to welding, a good all-round choice for engineering purpose in lightly stressed parts.
080A15 EN3B
A plain carbon case hardening specification. Recommended for use when a hard surface and a tough core are required. Suited for cams, gears, rollers, etc. and other lightly stressed applications.
080A42 EN8D
It can be normalised or quenched and tempered to achieve moderate tensile strengths. Axles, spindles, studs, automotive components, general engineering components can be manufactured with machining similar to that of mild steel, however weldability is reduced. Recommended for Axles, Spindles, Studs, Automotive components, and General Engineering components.
080M15 EN32
When case hardened, this unalloyed engineering grade has a hard outer encasement surface and a solid interior core, making it ideal for a variety of applications within engineering and the production of components under light stress.
080M40 EN8
A medium strength carbon steel. Suited to application where the part is stressed such as spindles, axles, pins, shafts and many automobile components.
220M07 EN1A
It is a low carbon steel that is extremely machinable and has a consistent surface finish due to its low carbon content.
220M07PB EN1A Leaded
The small inclusion of lead in this steel, although leaving the mechanical properties unaffected, It is a low carbon steel that is extremely machinable and has a consistent surface finish due to its low carbon content. Not Suitable for Welding
230M07 EN1A
Known as free machining or free cutting, EN1A is ideally suited for work on CNC or automatic machines. Not ideal for welding due to the sulphur content.
230M07PB EN1A Leaded
The small inclusion of lead in this steel, although leaving the mechanical properties unaffected, makes it ideally suited to long production runs on high-speed automatic, EN1A can be relied upon for its consistent machining, good quality surface finish of parts and a high production rate while ensuring long tool life. Not Suitable for Welding.
605M36 EN16
This steel has very good mechanical properties, being easily machinable and possessing excellent ductility. It also remains free from tempur brittleness. Considered as a good alternative to some nickel and nickel chromium steels applications including nuts, bolts, shafts, axles, ect.
709M40 EN19T
In addition to its good tensile and shock resistance properties, this steel is ductile. By flame hardening this steel you can greatly increase its resistance to wear. Nitrided this steel will ensure maximum wear and abrasion resistance. It is commonly used to make axle shafts, crankshafts, gears, etc.
817M40 EN24T
Offers good ductility and shock resistance, while having a high resilience to wear. Suitable for machined parts, gears, axles, ect.
